Mars bird skull and Mars city?

The photographs used in the pages are for illustrative purposes

Around March or April 2004 I was looking at images from the Mars Rover Spirit, when it was exploring the Gusec Crater.

What caught my eye was objects on the surface that resembled bird skulls.

It is of course possible the 'skulls' may just be sculptured rocks, or perhaps a trick of light that gives that appearance.

Interesting nevertheless.

I recently have an email from a ufologist who pointed out other features in the photo I had missed.

In particular what looks like a piece of oblong metal partially buried in the soil it appears ( as was pointed out to have a curve) (Thanks Joni)

Mars city?

Recently spotted In photos taken in Hale crater are what appears to be a city like grid and buildings

(Thanks to Henry a retired archaeologist for spotting this)

This image was on NASA's site but apparently has been removed, but can still be seen at the European space agency site www.esa.int

When changed to black and white you can see the grid pattern
